Adler and his team revisit a decade-old mission in Vietnam. "The first time Perseus pinged our radar" according to Adler. Sims says that the mission "sure went sideways" and that "[he'll] never forget that shithole." Later, Adler tells Bell to wake up as it is "crank time." He explains to Bell that they're safe in Camp Haskins, "[their] little oasis in the middle of this Godforsaken shitstorm." He then asks a nearby soldier named Butcher if his arm is ok to which Butcher responds "Still hurts like hell but at least I can move it." Adler then tells Sims that reading books will make him go blind, to which Sims replies "Yup! That's why I want it all up here!" Bell then boards the helicopter (callsign Badger Niner-One). According to Adler, there may be a "valuable asset that Charlie wants real bad!" Sims then asks Adler what kind of asset they're talking about to which Adler replies that the asset is "the kind you don't ask about." The group quickly comes under heavy RPG and sniper fire from Viet Cong troops while Bell softens up the enemy defenses with a minigun. Later, after all the enemy defenses are softened up, Bell and Sims jump down from the helicopter and clear out Spetsnaz and VC troops. Sims then clears a room, killing two hostiles. He then confirms to Adler that the Soviets are in fact present, to which Adler asks if he's sure. Sims then says that "[he's] staring at two bodies that SURE don't look Vietnamese." He tells Bell to grab the intel, wondering who "the fuck they (the VC and Spetsnaz) have been talking to." Later, after help them fight off an attack by VC forces the team finds a nuke they were sent to pick up at the firebase, which angers Sims, however Adler reminds him that the nuke is just a fail safe. Unfortunately, their helicopter is shot down. Surrounded and wounded, Bell eliminates enemy troops with the minigun before calling an air strike. Adler then throws Bell an M60 machine gun and an M1911 to fend off VC troops, however the player can choose to replace the 1911 with an AK47. Bell is then wounded, as two friendly planes drop napalm on the enemy troops. Adler then asks Sims if they can call the mission a success, to which Sims replies "Least the nuke didn't go off!" Adler reminds Sims that their mission is done since they acquired information on Perseus.
