For this DLC, i made a whole new save file just to prepare for it and like my first playthrough, i went with the Veredicto and smashed my way through the base game. Now with the DLC out and taking a day to clear it, what did i think of it?

Well, for starters, the DLC ended up being a bit harder than I initially expected. With the new enemies added for not just the DLC, but the new patch as a whole, it made for a pretty challenging run through and through, plus the bosses being harder than most of the base game's bosses combined.

Did I enjoy the DLC? yes, i though it was pretty good, although not perfect. The enemies featured are all that there is for enemy variety in the DLC which makes the new areas not feel that special, but that doesnt mean theyre bad. On the contrary, I liked them quite a bit. The snow area is a really good area overall and was pretty nice to explore, however the other area felt rather tedious to explore due to how repetitive it felt to traverse, plus the enemies being really tanky. Yeah, one of my biggest issues with the DLC are the enemies. Theyre either annoying or too tanky.

If theres a thing that was a let down, it was the Mea Culpa sword. I felt that it was more of a Ruego al Alba 2.0 more than anything and didnt stand out as much as it shouldve. Also the fact that you dont spend much time with it to begin with, specially if you do this DLC after beating the game. Although maybe youd get more out of it if you do the DLC before Eviterno which seems to be what the devs intended regarding how to experience this DLC.

As for the bosses, I liked them, theyre all good but rather overtuned. For instance, Brother Asterión being probably the hardest boss in the game and possibly one of the hardest bosses of the year. He took me quite a while to beat, but I managed to beat him. If you ask me, he is probably going to be nerfed.

As for the non DLC stuff, i liked that they expanded some of the existing base game areas and managed to make them stand out than before and the new platforming stuff were really good.

And thats about it for my thoughts. I thought the DLC was pretty good and despite some of the issues i had with it, I had a good time with it. If theres more content coming out, id be sure to play it.
