So, Blasters of the Universe is a standing wave shooter... but it's so much fun as it distinguishes itself from others in that it's a Bullet Hell style game. It's a genre in which you're returning fire is only half of the gameplay, the other half is dodging the thousands of bullets slowly headed to you. Just the first level alone gives me a good challenge. Hopefully I can show you guys some gameplay of some later levels one day.
