Byakuya ends up in a dimension with Tsukishima, where their battle quietly begins. Tsukishima's power to control the battlefield has put Byakuya at a disadvantage. After being struck by Tsukishima, he finds himself unable to use any of the skills he's trained for. Byakuya's Senbonzakura is broken during the battle against Tsukishima. But it is in this risky situation that Byakuya comes up with a new technique. Ichigo and Uryu are fighting against Ginjo in the Karakura Town game field. In the midst of battle, Ginjo begins telling Ichigo that there is actually another enemy he should be confronting.
