What the hell is 3D modeling?

So I recently started attempting to do 3D modeling in Blender. Many would call this a mistake, and I agree, it's kind of all I can really think about right now. Having seen some of the wonderful work that the Nebulous modding community has created, I wanted to try my hand at designing my own custom hull that could be added to the game.

This is just a portion of the work that has/will go into it so if you've ever wanted to try your own hand at 3D modeling, Blender is free! It's even on steam! Just grab it, and get stuck in. There's absolutely tonnes of video guides and many many other users who'll be happy to help you!
