0You know what? I completely support her logic, She was in a desperate situation and saw no other way to come out of it peacefully. Yes self-sacrifice is noble and moral and stuff but you do not always have that luxury - sometimes you just gotta do what you have to do. It's part of life and she wasn't solely responsible for herself: She had an entire village to help. So why do I support her and didn't support the mayor way back when? Honestly because she didn't generalize. The mayor killed all people in those mines with the flooding, including those who were actually recovering from the sickness or were simply poor. She didn't do something quite as horrible and actually assisted you once you hit the scene - she also didn't try to cover it up or run away which speaks to her character.
