It may have taken them a while but Blizzard Entertainment have finally released an official statement in regard to the whole blitzchung situation which had led to #BoycottBlizzard/#BlizzardBoycott trending in both the UK and USA. They have reiterated their stance in suspending blitzchung but have chosen to lessen the severity of his punishment by returning to him the prize money he won in the tournament and shortening his ban to 6months, down from a year.
Also the 2 casters who had encouraged blitzchuing to say his part will have the option to return to casting for Blizzard in 6 months rather than being permanently fired but if they return will be up to them.
Another thing, remember the American University team who held up a sign saying 'Free Hong Kong Boycott Blizzard' well they haven't been penalised at all but have chosen to fortfeit their next match and the season due to the hypocrisy in which they get away scot free (without punishment) but blitzchung is banned for 6 months.
