In Blockor.io, I found a tactic which maintains your speed whilst creating a giant block. You do this by collecting blocks outside of your main block. It gets difficult at times because all of the 1x1 blocks disappear when you strengthen your block, meaning your centre block could be your largest block. To prevent this, use W and eject blocks on a side where you have the least blocks (it doesn't always work). You will become a weaker block and your largest block also weakens.

I don't know the highest Blockor.io highscore, but 2K is really high, despite all of the disconnections and other problems.
