In Command and Conquer Red Alert 1, the ability to control your tanks is a very important skill. Funkyfr3sh and Milo234 have both produced tank training maps, one of which gives you a gold medal. However, up until now the ai tanks would just arrive and sit there firing at you.

So prepare yourselves for the ultimate tanking tests! There are 5 levels to the BMF Challenge, each progressively harder. It is based on the original Gold Medal Challenge map made by Funky.

BMF challenge 1 - The ai produces the same number of tanks as you, and GQs up and down in the middle
BMF challenge 2 - Same as BMF1, except the tanks GQ back down then back up
BMF challenge 3 - Same as BMF2, except there are more ai tanks!
BMF challenge 4 - Same as BMF3, except there are more ai tanks!
BMF challenge 5 - Probably impossible.

The idea came from Lee-13 who asked "Can the ai Q?". I replied "Nope, I doubt it!". Then by chance, I stumbled upon the following line of code in an Ants mission:

NoMovingFire=no

This allows the ai tanks to move and fire at the same time, putting them in permanent GQ mode.

If you want to create your own maps like this, open the map file in notepad, and add this line of code to a unit type. For example:

[3TNK]
Cost=95
NoMovingFire=no

Good luck, and if you beat BMF Challenge 5, you are the tanking master!

Next up are GQ challenge maps, with instructions on how to GQ effectively.

Thanks to Blitz, NastyNate and Kickn for testing
