One correction, you should map the trigger to "Second Trigger Detent" rather than "Weapon Fire Gun". This will ensure you can only fire the Gun in A/G Gun mode and not simply when you have the Master Arm on.

I have cursor mapped to my mini joystick. Go CONTROLLERS then ADVANCED OPTIONS, then AVIONICS CONTROL and map Cursor X and Cursor Y to a mini joystick. If you dont have one, you can map a 4 way switch in the main controls section. And I am using the BMS key mapping not the default Falcon 4.0 keymapping....
