BMW X3M Competition Road Trip - The EVO Triangle WOW!
The eve triangle and a bmw x3m competition is just wow!! What a road, what a car!!
The evo triangle is the latest venture on this tour of great driving roads in the uk, and trust me the evo triangle is a great great GREAT driving roads/roads. In fact to date this is easily the best road i have ever driven and it was a pleasure to tackle it in the bmw x3m competition which felt planted, fast, confident and had so much more to give!!
I started the evo triangle from the north side at a pub called the sportsmans arms. I started by heading south down the A543 (spoiler alert) this is the best road i have ever driven on. full stop. The views from this section of the evo triangle offers moorlands and hills quite a vast landscape and when i went it was really foggy which just added to the look and the drama. I can only imagine how sick the x3m comp looked from the outside tearing down this road. It had the most amazing surface you could wish for, ling straights and sharp bends, it was genuinely perfect. If you skip the video and can't be assed watching it all make sure you watch this part as its what the evo triangle is all about!! it will make you want to go!!
I then drove the A5 and drove east. The A5 is just a connecting road it seems, just to make up the triangle as opposed to have two seperate amazing roads, it is made it to one great triangle. The A5 was boring, with no scenery to look at and no bends to tackle. The A5 on the EVO triangle did have amazingly long smooth straights though and i can imagine with the authority to turn speed cameras off and shut roads this road would be tanked down to reach ridiculous speeds in all sorts of super cars, but in the real world, there are speed cameras and traffic and this section of the evo triangle was ultimately boring! Even in such a beast as the BMW X3m Competition.
The last section of the evo triangle heads back north towards to the start point down the B450. This again was an utterly amazing driving road! This section, similar to the first had everything! the views were immense especially past the Llyn Bring lake/reservoir thing. Pro tip, don't attempt to get drone footage here as a posh old lady will get really angry with you, she thought i would hurt the birds somehow, anyway i just drove on back up the B450. As mentioned this section has everything, smilier to the first. Sweeping bends, perfect tarmac and amazing views. WHAT A ROAD.
The first section absolutely makes the EVO triangle special the sections joins it together and the third backs its status as a great driving road up.
The x3m economy did well on the way down and was pushing 30mpg this the x3m mpg then took a hit as the x3m competition got to its natural surroundings and started flying (at 60mph) down the evo triangle. It was an absolute pleasure to drive and once again because of its immense capabilities it always felt like it just had so much more to give!!
Next on the list (i think) might be a return to Buttertubs which was my favourite road until i did the evo triangle. If, however, you have better suggestions of great driving roads that you want me to check out in the bmw x3m competition! drop a comment and let me know!
As always thanks for watching, liking, subscribing and commenting! it means a lot and i genuinely appreciate it!! closing in the 500 subs now! Amazing!!
Thanks once again guys and enjoy.
