Bob's Game is an interesting tale of a man who created a Nintendo DS game all by himself, only to be rejected by the evil sorcerer Miyamoto, and the corrupted dark Reggie.

The game started production over ten years ago, and it has already been over five years since Bob's crazy protest which was supposed to leave him locked in a room for 100 days, unless Nintendo surrendered the Nintendo DS SDK to him. During those days, there was a small group of us who took interest in this bizarre game, and watched on to see what would come of it. In the end Bob never got his wish, and over the years he pulled various stunts and began other projects which never ended up amounting to anything.

And now after a long absence, Robert Pelloni has once again returned! This time taking to Kickstarter, where he hopes to raise $10,000 for his game. Do you think he will make it? Do you think he deserves it? Do you think his promises will finally be fulfilled if the goal is met? Take a look at his game and judge for yourself!

Back story aside, what is Bob's Game all about? You play as a boy named Yuu, who in the beginning of the game seems to live a rather normal life with a somewhat typical family. You progress through the story by completing small tasks, and then playing video games within the game! Every once in awhile, a cutscene of Bob will pop up, showing things from his perspective, although unfortunately these pieces of the story never really amount to anything in the demo.

Overall I think that the concept is pretty interesting. There is room for improvement, although it is definitely a very playable game. You'll need to have some patience though, as Tetrid and Ping aren't for the faint of heart, or those who are used to having Luigi beat the levels for them.

So in the end, Bob's Game is a game with a really deep history, and there really is a lot of lore to go along with it all. What do you think about it?
