Description:
BATHALA is one of the tracks I made literally inspired with the typical Mainstream PsyTrance tracks where it was typically themed after gods and deities. And what I noticed that it was also fitting to mix a local tribal theme to the genre and thinking having a debut to be the first Philippine-based team and artist to enter this event make sense.
I kept the abstractive form to allow the express natural textures surrounding the Filipino tribal cultures. Percussions are also based from the common tribal instruments like Patanggok, Gangsa, etc and the chants are based from Kalingan and Ifugao tribes.
The difficulty names are named after from known Philippine Mythology dieties like TALA, HANA, and MAYARI, and MAYLIKHA is an honorable for BATHALA literally means 'Creator.'
I also appreciate this genre I chose for this track to be its simplistic yet challenging on designing the right sound and would be fit to each other, hence 'Less is More.'
