Originally released for Sharp X1 (   • Bokosuka Wars - Sharp X1 - ending  ) this game was responsible for laying the foundations for the tactical role-playing game genre, or the "simulation RPG" genre as it is known in Japan, with its blend of role-playing and strategy game elements.[citation needed] The game has also variously been described as an early example of an action role-playing game, an early prototype real-time strategy game, and a unique reverse tower defense game.
In its time, the game was considered a major success in Japan.

What he think about this game? well here's a summary of his longplay description, check his channel to see other weird playthrough!

"This game is terrible!! The only way to defeat enemies is simply having a collision with them and you must hope to do not die, since victory or defeat is randomly decided by the game. You can lose the battle even with the final boss.
You should try to make your allies (soldiers and knights) fight against enemies, using the king the less possible, because if he dies, it's the game over (showing you the message "Wow! You lose!").
Soldiers and knights only appear once revealed by the king, possibly behind trees or blocks, this means that you must spend a lot time finding new allies and there's nothing more boring than doing this thing (the weirdest thing is that only the NES version has this feature, but in every other version like MSX, NEC PC-8801, Sharp X1, ecc, the king, the soldiers and the knights begin all together!)."

This video is part of the videogame endings database, whose goal is to catalogue and create the world's largest archive of videogame endings! (what an humble and not ambitious project :D
