I've kind of been wandering a little bit lately - I hadn't played Bonelab in a week and I was testing out some other
games that I've heard good things about. I tried Skyrim VR - I wouldn't recommend it but let's see if I can continue
massaging some mods into it in order to make it playable. I tried Into the Radius and if you haven't watched the first
episode of it on the channel I recommend you go check it out - Into the Radius really surprised me in a good way and
I've since gone back to it a few times to get better and understand the game loop in a better way - I also tried some
games that I don't even want to mention because they're either not there yet or I just didn't get them the chance they
really deserved.
But all that time I was playing new games I was thinking about Bonelab.
When I jumped back in it was like I had never left and I was rabid about jumping back in because I knew I was back
into the campaign of the game and I knew there would be some significant action for me. I didn't realize how much
action that would be - but here's a sample of what I experienced.
Although it doesn't look like a lot of work - standing, crouching, leaning, swinging your arms around - for over an
hour can be exercise and by the time I quit playing my room had gone from 19 degrees celcius to 23 degrees celcius.
When I was faced with a puzzle, obstacle or a tempted with an unlockaball I either understood the assignment right
away or spent 10-20 minutes doing it the right way without changing my strategy even the leasty bit. I'm positive
that I spent the last 30 minutes of my session doing a puzzle completely backward to the point where a large portion
of the map was just not used at all.
That's the great thing about Bonelab - you get there one way or another, the physics engine mixed with the
tools you get to play around with it make this game incredibly replayable and I've already been warned about the
potential with mods and just what you can do.
