How to Use Nvidia DLSS in The Outer Worlds: Spacer’s Choice Edition

In this video, I show you how to replace the built-in FSR2 upscaling with Nvidia DLSS using a mod originally made for Starfield. This improves image quality and performance, especially on Nvidia GPUs. I also cover how to use ReShade to add sharpening, since the mod doesn't include any built-in sharpening filter.

🛠 ️ Step 1: Install Starfield FSR2 Bridge Mod
Download the mod from Nexus Mods:

Go to the FILES tab
Select FSRBridge – DLSS
Choose Manual Download
Extract and place the three files into:
[GameFolder]\Indiana\Binaries\Win64
(Example: D:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\The Outer Worlds Spacer's Choice\Indiana\Binaries\Win64)

📦 Step 2: Download the Latest DLSS DLL
Get the DLSS .dll from TechPowerUp:

Download your preferred version
Extract and copy the DLL into the same Win64 folder above

🎮 Launch the game and select FSR2 in the graphics options — DLSS will now be used instead.

✨ Step 3: Install ReShade for Sharpening
ReShade helps sharpen the image, since DLSS alone can look soft.

Download and run the installer
Select The Outer Worlds from the game list
Choose DirectX 10/11/12
(Optional) Check all effects if you’re new
Launch the game
Press Home to open ReShade and search for sharpen
Try different sharpening filters and choose what looks best

✅ That’s it! You’re now running The Outer Worlds: Spacer’s Choice Edition with DLSS and better image clarity using ReShade.
