Here is my take on Hyperion, Maliwan and Vladof allegiance builds using the new Sapper legendary class mod and Pearl of Ineffable Knowledge. A little known secret about the Sapper is that since Hunter Seekers count of gun damage, they will heal you as long as you pull the trigger at least once after them -- and this works equally for both full-auto and semi-automatic guns.

I think I am going to give the Sapper a rest for now and try out some of the stuff from the latest DLC and the recently-buffed weapons. Also open to suggestions, if folks have them.
