Something I read up on the Borderlands Wiki. This is a really handy way of getting fast cash and items. This also counts towards the challenges that require you to open a certain amount of containers and chests. You can do this as many times as you like AS LONG AS YOU DO NOT GO NEAR THE STARTING ELEVATOR. If you go too close to it, it will checkmark the middle objective, Steal Loot. If this happens, you only have two choices to remedy this, as the Armory becomes inaccessible after the objective has been checked.
The first option is to join a friend's game who is in the same mission and have him let you into the control room and activate the countdown. The second option is to download a save editor called WillowTree# and edit the quest objective value on Steal Loot to 0. Note, however, that you can't have that quest as your active one when you edit the save because it will make your game crash until you re-edit it to 1 again, so be sure to have extra quests available in your menu, activate any one that isn't the Armory one and then edit the save.
Keep in mind that it is always good to make a backup of your unedited save in case it somehow breaks.
Also as a neat little thing I decided to note that door that you can clip through regardless of whether or not the countdown has been activated. If you drop there, you'll be stuck until the timer reaches zero or you exit and load your character save.
Oh, and remember that you have to have General Knoxx spawn before you can reach the Armory, as killing him deactivates the forcefield to the place.
