Borderlands: Xbone edition: Trashing the Trash Coast
0Did I copy that episode title from somewhere? Feels familiar, but I'm not sure. Maybe I'm subconsciously remembering a Judson Gaiden video from when he too still did lps. I don't like this level, which I guess makes it alright that everything you could ever do in it is done all in one go. The rakk hive is a comically weak boss fight, and even with me intentionally playing it slow and trying to drag it out, all I needed to do is stand in one place and empty one gun into it to win in about a minute. It's yet another level whose entire design is "mountains of garbage" and there's just nothing interesting here, nothing that feels like it could have a story or point to it. It makes me wonder if that usual game dev thing that's rumored to be common took place where everything past a certain, early point in the game tends to be barebones and rushed out to meet deadlines. I don't know. Maybe it would feel more pointful to have this level even exist if it weren't trivial to be comically overleveled for the whole thing.
