Attack Pattern
The lava crawler machine is constantly chasing Jiro, forcing him to keep moving right.
The shark in the background has four attacks and they always happen in the same order. He will always attack after he has disappeared from the background.
Shark dives from background and chomps away the ground. Double jump away when this happens. This is the hardest one to avoid, as you must be expecting it, and jump ahead of time.
Shark comes from behind quickly at a steady pace. Keep moving right, and do a long double jump (jump, wait just a bit, jump) when he comes close. Time it so you avoid getting hit by the shark, yet the ground comes back in time for you not to get hurt.
Shark comes from behind a bit slower than previously and in bursts. Keep moving right and once again do a long double jump to avoid taking damage.
Shark comes out from the ground at the end of the screen. Move away from the end of the screen, so stay somewhere in the middle between the lava crawler and where the shark will pop out. Double jump over the lava gap created by the shark.
