BotW: Daytime Blood Moon
46Here I was, playing BotW for the first time in a couple of weeks and this happens. I heard that an irregular blood moon could happen if the player has had the game on for a long time, but I'd just been playing for 15-20 minutes when this happened. I think I left the title screen up for a few minutes while I fiddled with something else before I began play. I had last saved on top of Mount Ploymous and was just wandering around with no real goal in mind.
No one seems to know just what causes this phenomenon. I certainly haven't the foggiest notion. I wish I did. I think I got an instant blood moon on one other occasion, just when I came from the inside of Hyrule Castle to the exterior.
Breath of the Wild (not Bottom of the Well!) belongs to Nintendo of course.
