GAME INFO:
B.Rap Boys is an arcade-only beat 'em up developed and published by Kaneko in 1992. It's a direct sequel to DJ Boy. It had an update called B.Rap Boys Special with some differences. It never received home ports unlike the first game.
The gameplay is heavily improved from DJ Boy, the rollerskating physics are much smoother, and combat is faster and more responsive. There's a total of three stages, each with two to three sections each. Weapons are useful when it comes to long range.
This game along with Konami's beat em up Violent Storm, has lyrics. Two tracks from an obscure hip hop collective known as "3 Stories High" are featured in this game. Loops from tracks "Famous Last Words" and "Average Day" from their "Famous Last Words" EP are featured.
B.Rap Boys is known by people that it's an improvement to DJ Boy over having no longer offensive African American stereotypes and improved gameplay mechanics.
