An acoustic cover of 'Breaking Free' from the video game NEO: The World Ends With You.
I've mentioned in previous videos that the TWEWY games are criminally underrated and its soundtrack, and I'm so happy the original game got a sequel!
This is another great track from this game, that's just too catchy for me to not cover! I thought I thought I'd do something different with this song, as I thought the melodies would work really well as an acoustic song. The arrangement also lent itself really well to an acoustic cover as the song mostly consists of fairly simple chord progressions which translates easily to major/minor chords.
I also changed up the solo a bit in order to make it work on acoustic, as well as my own style in there, but I tried to keep the vibe the same so it still fits.
Finally, I would like to mentioned that I'm not a singer by any standards, but I wanted to give it a go for the sake of covering more TWEWY songs, so hopefully I did the original justice and you enjoy the video!
