EPISODE ONE: Barbasol Shaving Cream!

Hey all! Brand new series for you, this is the first of many.

If you've seen the Compressed Whip Cream and Snow explosion videos on this channel, you know what this show's about: Shooting things with arrows that weren't meant to be shot with arrows.

As I mention at the end of the video, this was a huge pain to bring you, since Vegas 10 kept crapping out on me. It would crash, or fail to render, or crash AND fail to render, or tell me the system was out of memory, etc. Anyway, after none of the "fixes" for my problems worked, I went and upgraded to Vegas 11. Problem solved, woot.

The audio for the first three episodes will be kind of terrible, we didn't account for wind in the mics of the cameras or for my voice being unable to be heard if I wasn't facing the camera. These are mistakes I will not make for episode four, but unfortunately the first three are already recorded with these problems.

Oh, I should probably say "Don't try this at home", but as long as you're not an idiot, you actually probably could. The thing about arrows though, you HAVE to know what's behind your target, what's to the sides of your target, above it, etc. As you can see from the second shot that shattered the arrow into (four, not three as we first believed) pieces, even a slight miss can be deadly. NEVER have anyone standing downrange from where you're shooting. Arrows can be unpredictable - I know, I've almost been hit by one that went 45 degrees from where it was aimed after it hit a tree branch, missing me by only a few feet. You do not want to be responsible for putting an arrow through your friends or your neighbors property. Archery safety is damn near as important as gun safety, never take it lightly.

Also it's not recommended to shoot solid objects that the arrows cannot pierce, such as metal signs or posts or generally anything metal in general. Again, I'm speaking from experience. I once shot at a metal sign, y'know, the kind that are on highways and such, and the arrow hit it and reversed its direction and came right back at me and my friends. This was from 30-40 feet away.

Enjoy the video, more to come!
