You control a space-ship-shaped board, which is slightly smaller than Chibi-Puyo boards (12 x 18, although some bits at the top corners are unuseable due to triangle shaped roof), which correspond to, in theory, maximum of about 44 Chains
Like standard Puyo Puyo, match 4 blocks of the same colour, the blocks go poof, charge up your turrets, and fire at your opponent - which I think correspond to how much damage you would deal to the oppoment:
less than 6 Singles - Quick shots
6~12 Singles - Charged shots
1, 2 Lines - Missiles
3+ Lines - Laser
Your ship goes kaboom if any of the topmost 2 blocks is blocked off.
Unfortunately, without offsetting, this game ended up having the same problems with Puyo Puyo Classic's "First to X Chain wins"
In this case, X = 8, which is very easy to make with this board
(7 chain pretty much cripple the targetted opponent, like sending 10 lines in classic Puyo Puyo boards, but 8 chain makes sure they're finished off)
Also unlike standard Puyo Puyo, you only attack one opponent at a time (and always anti-clockwise, or right-to-left), makes targetting tedius if you're making chains or if your next opponent is nearing destruction (and you end up firing lasers at it) or is still going strong (and your 1-chain debris-clearing shot does screw-all to it), it also made team PvP unbalanced once opponents drop out of the battle
As a first release, still a nice game for a casual PvP, evidently numerous balancing maybe forthcoming in later versions.
If we're going by Puyo Puyo Fever nuisance puyo rules, that 14-chain (03:35) which sent about 9436 Debris over, would correspond to:
6 Comet + 1 Crown + 2 Red + 2 Line + 4 Single
