38:58 - Outro to the 101-in-1 Games [p1]
31. Gyrodine - This is another common NES game that the multi-cart bootleg developers stick on multi-carts (like this one, for example). It is a simple shooter - no need to explain anything further.
32. Spelunker - This is another common NES game that they stick onto bootleg multi-carts. This time, however, the developers did not hack the game to have only 1 life. I also manage to really suck at this game; however, since this is a brief demonstration of this multi-cart, I did not care whether I did well or not. Spelunker is also REALLY easy to die on (since the fall distance that you die at is very short - like maybe half a foot or so). I guess it CAN be fun (in short bursts), but it is nothing special.
33. The Tower Of Druaga - Ah...…this game is known as an Action RPG and it's one of the earliest Action RPGs out there (it is also an Arcade port). This game is very good (with being able to stick your sword out and attack enemies). I will explain more in CC. I will say this, though: there is a Game Boy version of The Tower of Druaga (and it does have a couple of differences from it's NES counterpart).
34. Geimos - It's another common "multi-cart" NES game. This game is all right (and does not need a whole lot of explaining, either). Note that there is a Mode A and a Mode B.
35. Challenger - This game is an Action Adventure game. Challenger isn't too bad, either. I only do Stage 1 (because I have covered Challenger at least 2 or 3 times before).
36. Star Luster (misspelled as Star Juster) - I guess that they thought that the L in Star Luster looked like a J, so perhaps that's why they misspelled it (or something). Surprise, it's ANOTHER shooter (although it is sorta-similar to Geimos's Mode A, because it is a 3D shooter). I picked Adventure Mode (because I did Training Mode, the last few or so times I demonstrated this game on those various bootleg multi-carts). It's good. I do not do too well on Star Luster, by the way.
37. Baltron - Ah, it's the Defender II clone! This shooter is all right, but fun (or at least fun enough to play). Yeah....it is very similar to Defender II. Heck, it even has a very similar HUD (to Defender II's HUD)! I do not think I need to explain anything beyond that.
38. Xevious - It's another common Arcade-to-NES shooter. There's nothing I need to say/explain.
39. Route-16/Route-16 Turbo - This is an Arcade-to-NES racing game. I chose Difficult Mode for this demonstration. The funny thing? Route-16 Turbo has THREE main soundtracks (based on the difficulty you selected). I think the enemy cars are more aggressive and more persistent in Normal and Difficult Mode than on Easy Mode, but maybe that's just me. Also, you can use Turbo (I mean, it is in the name of the game, after all), but that burns up more fuel.
40. Exed Exes - Oh geez.....THIS game? Oh gosh, this is going to be bad, isn't it? Well...…THIS version of Exed Exes (the Famicom version, that is) is a boring, glitchy and generally unfun piece of junk.
Again, most of these range from all right to good (with the expection of Exed Exes - at least the Famicom version of Exed Exes).
HACKS: 1
PIRATES/BOOTLEGS: 4 (Space Fight of Gun, Fantasy of Gun and Abyss of Gloom plus Duck Maze)
BROKEN/GLITCHY PIRATE VERSIONS: 1 (minor)
Part 5 is up if you haven't seen it already.
