How to get a brilliant rating on the 14th level of Cursed Treasure with only 45 invested skill points (so with an "experience level 16" player, effectively). This is the first level where investing in the Orcish skilltree is needed, requiring a couple playthroughs to level up.

Used tactic to kill the 2500 HP Ninja boss: Try to get a fully upgraded temple on the high ground in the front, a fully upgraded catapult next to the entrance, and hope they hit both. If less than the required 500 damage has been done (likely when you don't grind to level up), hope the Daze effect slows down the invisible ninja, have an orcish den next to the gem cave finish him off just before he reaches the gems.

Needed skills:

+40 gold in the beginning of a mission (2 skill points)
+25% damage for towers on high ground (5 skill points)
- Cut forest costs 40 less mana (4 skill points)
- Cut forest gives 100 gold (4 skill points)
- Fire temples get +50% experience and are 25% cheaper to upgrade (4 skill points, actually need only 4, see footnote)
- Dens get +20% experience and are 10% cheaper to upgrade (2 skill points, 3-4 would be more reliable, requiring one more level-up)

+1 Charge for crypts (1 skill point)
+300 maximum mana (500 total) (5 skill points)
+40 mana in the beginning of a mission (2 skill points)

+20 mana when you build a temple (1 skill point)
+25% experience accumulation for towers (5 skill points)
- Enemies lose 2% HP when carrying a gem (1 skill point, needed to reach the meteor-related skills)
- Meteor spell costs 50 less mana (5 skill points)
- Meteor spell causes +200 damage (4 skill points)
- Fire temples get +50% experience and are 25% cheaper to upgrade (4 skill points)
