A British Army Warrior armoured fighting vehicle was used to rescue a Lancashire Fire and Rescue fire engine after it got stuck in mud.

The First Fusiliers had been showing the public their Warrior at the Royal Lancashire Show, when heavy rain caused many vehicles to get stuck in the sodden ground.

The Army North West tweeted a video of the recovery, saying: "Who rescues the rescuers? The Army of course!"
