Class 370 APT (Advanced Passenger Train) at Crewe Heritage Centre. This was filmed from a passing train as I was heading to Liverpool. This train is what I would call an unsung legend as back the 1980's when this train was being tested on the West Coast Main Line (WCML) which was known as the APT-P (Prototype), the project might have been sucessful if it wasn't heavily criticised by the media back in that period. My uncle used to own a Hornby APT five car set of one of these units many moons ago before it sadly got lost in transit when he relocated to Belgium back in 1998. I am planning to visit the Crewe Heritage Centre when I am next down this way.
