This week's Railworld Showcase. As you might notice, there is a lot of upgrades that have taken place since the last video was posted back in May this year. The hills and the tunnels on the east side of the layout is now complete and the upper level railway bridge now has side girders to make it look more realistic and the trees on the hills really look the part. Also 60% of the station is now complete as some of the platforms have also been installed as well which you will see in the video. The rolling stock shown in use on the layout starts off with a Lima GNER HST125 passing by on the lower level tracks heading east. Then next up, is a DCC Sound-fitted Hornby Mallard with a rake of BR Maroon MkI's from Phil's collection passing the new station (under construction) with a Hornby Class 153 in East Midlands Trains livery sitting in the siding Platform which is Platform 3. Then a Bachmann GBRF liveried Class 66 hauling a Intermodal Container train is seen crossing the new girder bridge heading east with the Mallard showing up a few seconds later. Next a Lima Class 67 in EWS livery hauling a GNER IC225 set is seen heading west through the new lower level platforms with the LNER Mallard speeding past Platform 2 on the upper level tracks with a brief glimpse of the GBRF Class 66 heading east before I pan the camera to the lower lever tracks where we see a two-car Class 170 in Central Trains livery passing through. Then a Class 220 Virgin Voyager is seen speeding through Platform 5 on the lower lever tracks. Next up is the 22 again speeding round the bank on the up fast line on the lower level tracks and to the right of this is the new EWS depot, where you can see all the EWS locomotives parked up! Not quite like Toton yet though! Then a DRS Stobart Rail liveried Class 66 (66411) emerges from the west of the depot (in this view) heading towards the fiddle yard. Next up is a view of the new hills and tunnels for both lines which has a beautiful landscape view based on Yorkshire where 66411 hauling a mixed freight train emerges from the lower level tunnel and is heading westbound. Next the Lima Class 31 in EWS livery takes over from 66411 but not for long though as the damn thing breaks down shortly after leaving the depot which is why I moved on to filming the Lima GNER HST passing under the new bridge and filming it snake its way through the new embankment. Then I film my Bachmann Class in BR Green numbered D368 hauling Phil's rake of MkI carriages in Maroon livery which is seen speeding through Platform 3 on the upper level and I filmed the 40 pass from three different angles while Phil was driving the beast! My Class 40 has a TCS decoder which uses a 128 step inertia that makes accelleration, speed and braking much more realistic. Now moving to the lower level tracks, I film the Class 67 speed past again with a HST heading the other way shortly after. But in the background you will now see that the heritage line is now open and fully working as an unidentified 4-4-0 BR Black Steam Locomotive hauling a different rake of Maroon MkI's storms along it heading west and a Class 67 speeds along on the down fast line too. Next up is my GWR Pannier Tank Engine that is hauling the MkI's along the Heritage Line that is overtaken by another UID BR Black 4-6-0 Steam Engine hauling the LNER Teaks with a Class 170 Turbostar in Central Trains livery heading the other way. Then I film the Class 67 and GNER HST 125 pass on the lower level tracks from the new depot angle and then I film a Class 142 "Pacer" Railbus in GMPTE (Greater Manchester Pasenger Transport Executive) livery. Next up is my GWR Pannier again on the Heritage Line with a Class 66 in Stobart Rail livery covering for the failed Lima Class 31 on the Mixed Freight set that is also heading west on the down fast and a eastbound Pacer on the up fast line. Another shot of my Pannier in GWR livery but a close up so I can show the detail to you more as this tank engine has some amazing detail on it! Then a GNER HST passes slower through the station (possibly a signal check?) on the up fast. After I film my GWR Pannier for one last time, I film Phil's LNER Mallard depart Platform 3 with his Maroon MkI's, I have to say I do like the DCC Sound on this model to be honest and I am thinking of getting a Black 5 with sound eventually as well, but thats another story. Then finally I film my Class 40 working on the intermodal train with the Mallard passing shortly afterwards where the video ends.
