Who would win, Brock Lesnar vs Hulk Hogan?
Hulk Hogan 1980s would win against the Prime Brock Lesnar - Hulk is Much bigger in size & has many Technical Wrestling tactics than Lesnar .. So in my oponion Hulk - Even though Lesnar would win a few matches if they wrestled couple of times in the fanatasy world if time was sent back to the 80’s.
Hogan is a good competitor and a good draw ratings wise for selling out seats, in his day from 1977 to July 31, 2015; but that was the late 80’s through mid-00’s, nowadays it would be Brock Lesnar. Hogan already hung up his boots, Hogan is more suited for a GM role on Raw (sorry, Kurt) and Smack-down live (sorry, Paige). That’s another question for another time, Lesnar would win, because he’s still young, he also, carries more strength and agility than Hogan, when Lesnar takes down his opponents, they generally stay down, depending on, the outcome of the match.
Depends on the Era and what makes sense for the storyline. But if you think about it, it would NEVER make sense for Hogan to lose to Lesnar.
Lesnar is part time, so a victory over Hogan wouldn’t significantly put Brock over with the crowd. Plus Hogan can’t be cleared to wrestle because of his age.
80’s/90’s Hogan wouldn’t lose either, at least not cleanly. He was way too popular in both WWF/E and WCW. Could have been a good feud maybe, but Brock doesn’t have good enough charisma, which is why he has an Advocate to speak for him.( for those that aren’t familiar with wrestling terms, a Clean win over someone is one where there were not sign that a wrestler “cheated” to win)
Brock Lesnar made his WWE debut on the night after WrestleMania 18 and within five minutes it was apparent that the company had big plans for the NCAA heavyweight wrestling champion. Lesnar decimated the competing wrestlers in impressive fashion, and he had a worthy manager by his side in Paul Heyman. The rocket was strapped to his back. After the impressive display of power, Lesnar feuded with the Hardy Boys and dismantled them, building himself up as a legitimate monster heel before he went on to wreck the top guys in the main event scene.
Brock Lesnar Feuded With Hulk Hogan Before His Championship Match Against The Rock
We’ve all seen the little clip of a beaten and bloodied Hogan being crushed by a bear-hug from Lesnar, but it wasn’t just a random match with no build up. Lesnar versus Hogan stretched across a couple of SmackDown episodes, and it all began when Lesnar disrespected the Hulkster during his first night as a SmackDown superstar.
After being brought over to SmackDown by Stephanie McMahon, Lesnar interfered during a tag-team match involving Hulk Hogan. Hogan and his former nemesis, The Rock, were trying to win the tag-team titles from the duo of Lance Storm and Christian. Just when Hogan was powering up for the victory, Lesnar interfered and left the Hulkster lying, but that wasn’t all.
The Feud Between Lesnar And Hogan Resulted In A Match On SmackDown
Fast forward to the match, and it was all Lesnar mostly. The initial lock up led to Lesnar shoving Hogan halfway across the ring with such ferocity that Hogan’s bandana came right off his head. For the most part, Lesnar dominated but of course the company put in a few spots where Hogan, the wounded veteran, got in a few shots on his own. It wasn’t a totally clean victory for Lesnar as Heyman did interfere to stop the leg drop, but the finish was dominant as Lesnar busted up Hogan’s ribs from a bearhug and the referee called the match, awarding Lesnar the victory by way of knockout.
Of course, Lesnar interfered again. This time, he was repelled by Hogan, who ended up walking into a chair shot to the head from Angle. After two weeks of build-up, Hogan versus Lesnar was scheduled for the August 8, 2002 SmackDown. The show opened up with a montage of Hogan overcoming the odds time and time again. Before the match, Lesnar invaded Hogan’s lockerroom and was goaded by the Hulkster to put his championship opportunity on the line during the match. Lesnar agreed to it (despite Heyman freaking out about it) and the chance to face The Rock at SummerSlam was on the line.
