Session 2
We enter the scene over the mountainside, following the river to Varnhold, where the traffic has slowed down a lot in recent days. Not much movement outside the city.
Inside the Clumsy Bear, Ven wakes up on the floor of his room. Odefi is gone from her bed; she's left a note saying she'll be back later.
Eckhard wakes up in his sorta-fancy room. After praying, he heads out for breakfast.
Mikhael hears a squeaky voice from their pocket. A little fairy dragon seems to be looking for the topaz. Mikhael manages to trap it and interrogate it. Claims that it works for Muriel.
Bix meets a regal-looking woman outside the stable. She's looking for the stable boy to take care of her horse. Bix tries to help, but accidentally spooks the horse instead, which leads to it kicking the lady and knocking her out.
In response, Bix casts Speak with Animals and talks to it, calming it down. But then something strange happens - the horse says the lady is "not lady", and something about its rider being dead. Bix's spell ceases abruptly, and the woman stands up and berates him. As she leaves, he notices a serpentine tattoo on her wrist.
Anyway, everyone meets up in the tavern area. The weird noble lady from before is also there. She asks Sigberd about a person named Dawkins (person in charge of the musketeers).
Mikhael arrives as well, after the faerie dragon gets away. Meets up with the party. Introduces themselves as a tour guide.

While we talk, a playboy wizard guy enters the tavern, Hermand Bravo. He tries to hit on the noble lady and is brutally rejected. We invite him to our table and start talking about the lady. Somehow, this leads to us being very interested in investigating her. Ven goes over to try and find out her name - notices she is writing in Sylvan; "… She was not in tatzelford…"

Eckhard sees some Musketeers, so he lets them know about he suspicious woman who's looking for their boss. Then he heads to the stables, noticing everything's weirdly quiet.
The rest of us catch up (Mikhael having caught Bix up on the faerie dragon stuff), and realize there's something weird happening. Bix bursts in and sees a bunch of maggots and a giant fly that seems to have slaughtered all the animals.
Combat breaks out - it's very gross. There's a bunch of eggs, the fly's face transforms into a grotesque man's face. We squish and torch them all. Eckhard notices his horse is missing.
Dawkin and the musketeers arrive and we explain the situation - the lack of evidence makes it difficult, but they end up trusting us.
As we head over to the mint, we start hearing distant cries and the alarm of the city. Seems like Sarah and the old lady are alright, thankfully, but stuff is definitely happening.
A woman steps into the room - maybe half-elven, wearing a hood and a wedding ring. Definitely the Queen.
Session Highlights:

• There's a weird lady looking for a woman in the city, and Ven totally made an enemy out of her.
• The party finally meets up and promptly gets into a fight with a bunch of gross maggots and flies.
• The city's alarm goes off and we get to meet the Queen who's probably gonna boss us around from now on.
