Silver from the Wing Commander CIC (https://warcraftadventures.wordpress.com) is working on a project to integrate the remastered FMV sequences from the Broken Sword Director's Cut into the original, non-Director's-Cut gameplay. However, the original source for the intro video was lost, and the DC version incorporates an entirely new FMV sequence.

To keep things consistent, Norbert asked if I'd look into remastering the original Playstation FMV. I found the PSX footage had issues where the frame rate had been messed with, so I actually managed to extract the FMV from my own PC CD-ROM copy of the game and this is the result.

This is the first cartoon/animated experiment I've run, and I'm quite happy with the results. As usual, I used DAIN to increase the frame rate (from 12fps to 24fps in this case), Topaz Video Enhance AI for the upscale and my own custom AVIsynth scripts for cleanup and compiling.

There are unfortunately some jagged edges in the line art that didn't get entirely smoothed out but, overall, I consider it a successful improvement over the source footage.
