Have Game, Will Play: Brothers A Tale of Two Sons
An old man, who may or may not be your father(he is), is sick. Two brothers, one several years older than the other, must venture off in search of medicine. That's where you come in. You must control them. But there's a catch; you must control them
using one analog and a trigger button for each. The game is full of charm and whimsy, that helps given the control scheme you're forced to use. Maneuvering the siblings is not a chore but it's far from comfortable. This may sound like hyperbole but the game is so fun and the characters emote so well that you likely won't care. Brothers A Tale of Two Sons does a masterful job telling you a story without any traditional dialogue. The brothers' interactions with the people, places and creatures feels like a lot of thought and heart went into every aspect. I won't use the now cliche' games-as-art label but I'd be lying if I didn't say that part of me wants to. This is easily one of the best games I've played in 2013. Brothers A Tale of Two Sons is not to be missed.
