Hardest video game boss i've killed in a while. Took us about 5-6 hours. I've played with a friend up to this point so we didn't want to try it solo. Most bosses are actually easier as solo. We ended up solo progressing first 2 phases cause it is easier. Then other party members join the fight.
For some reason, developers thought it is a good idea to add more mechanics to bosses when engaged as a group. There is no such thing as healer/tank/dps setup in this game so it makes no sense. Details/tips about the boss are written in comments.
