Right-click 'gzdoom.sh' once created, then 'PROPERTIES', then 'PERMISSIONS' and then select box 'IS EXECUTABLE'


To get to your desktop, click the STEAM button on your Steam Deck, scroll down and click 'POWER', then 'SWITCH TO DESKTOP'


You might have to install FLATSEAL (Discovery Store). Scroll down to 'GZDoom', then 'Devices', then 'Allow devices' for controller support in Desktop Mode.
