Brutal DOOM v0.12 Testing
Sorry about the lack of updates. I've been waiting on a new megawad to come out called Reverie. It should be out in a few days. While waiting, I stumbled upon a mod called Brutal Doom. This mod requires either GZDoom or Skulltag.
This mod gives DOOM a reason to be rated mature. A lot has changed making the game harder to play. Enemies have changed quite a bit. They are smarter, faster, and some even have new attacks. All enemies have new death animations depending where it was shot and what gun. Some enemies can even hop down platforms when they previously couldn't. I couldn't record it in time but the imps can catch monsters on fire. Causing them to be engulfed in flames and damaging others around it. Also cacodemons now know how to dodge.
The berserk pack is the brutal part. Not only do you have a berserk mode but now a fatality mode. Most enemies have two fatalities that can be done to them. They can also use it against you but only when dead. Not all the enemies have fatalities yet though. Also head shots play a big role.
I want my viewers to decide for me. If and when I play through DOOM 2. Should I use the Brutal Doom mod or should I stay away from the mod?
Also, instead of waiting till a megawad is done, should I just upload the map's video once it is done even if the map set isn't or wait until it is complete and have one map a day?
