Bug Collection ~ The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings
The Witcher 2 is unique. All three of these games are very different from each other as well as all other video games (for better and worse). In terms of this series, this entry is probably the best looking. It's got a more defined style with the light and the environments. I don't necessarily think that's a bad thing about 3 though, considering 2 is still a linear game. I would also say that this game's combat is flashy but untrustworthy. Some enemies (Elementals being the biggest offenders) will take half your vitality on a swing that didn't connect. The combat has a ridiculous difficulty curve in Chapter 3 that honestly takes a lot of the fun out of it. The more scripted boss fights (like the Kayran in chapter 1, to avoid spoilers) are uncomfortable and hard to navigate. All that being said, the writing and the quests are strong. Considering how much of a mess even the best parts of the first game are, 2 still feels like an incredible step up.
