In this video, I build a much needed custom-sized book shelf for my window sill. This was done with the help of a Dremel 3000 and components from Home Depot.


There needed to be 1" thick shelves to be stable. The mini saw attachment only cuts 1/4" deep, which means I was limited to 1/2" thick plywood. Two 1/2" thick pieces of planks were glued together using wood glue to get the desired 1" thickness.


The collet that came with the Dremel was not compatible with the smaller drill bits needed to make appropriately sized pilot holes for the #6 wood screws, so a hand drill was used instead.


The end result was crude, but it does its job.
