Building A Point & Click Game In Unreal 4 - Cinematic Cut Scenes - Game Dev 101
Our point and click adventure game, "An Adventurer's Tale", is built in Unreal 4, and we've been sharing game development videos for the past two years. Today, I wanted to share a little bit about the latest addition, which is cinematic cut scenes, and how it impacts storytelling.
It might not sounds like a big deal, but from a storytelling standpoint, having cinematic cut scenes adds a little bit of flavor that just enriches the narration. We weren't sure we were going to be able to do cut scenes like this when we first started the game, so knowing that we can effectively add them now means we can start to strategically place them here and there during the polish passes on our point and click game.
