Building a Raspberry Pi (or other) Laptop Part 1: The display
This is the first in a series of videos where I repurpose an old mini laptop, a Soyo PW9800, which was my first ever laptop and is rather thick and has some good internal space. I plan to modify it so that I can internally install a Raspberry Pi or variants, or a BeagleBone Black, Lattepanda, perhaps the C.H.I.P. or any other mini computer of similar size and with compatible ports. I plan to leave the mini laptop as close as possible to the original, use its keyboard and trackpad, and also to use as many of the ports as feasible. I also plan to install an arduino.
In this first video I take the lid of the old mini laptop and reassemble it with a new monitor a pair of antennas and the necessesary cables and connectors.
In the second part I will do the keyboard and trackpad.
