Building Christmas Minis was a Bad Idea
24HeroForge let me build Christmas Minis that no one asked for, but everyone deserves to see! Including nativity scenes of modern design that’d serve as dioramas from your very nightmares!
And all I had to do was press randomize a few times and then get started! It was a fun little XMas test to see what I could create in HeroForge. It’s not my first time using the free miniature design program by any stretch, but I didn’t know about all the cool new features like importing your own character. That’s certainly something to play with in the future if it allows me to buy them and paint them up! It’s not perfect, but for someone who can’t digitally sculpt their own minis just yet, HeroForge is quite the asset.
Also yes: I did genuinely buy Lizard Dean among a few others.
I might do more seasonal videos like this or make new minis for special events. If times right with shipping I could even paint it up as a combined Let’s Build but that might not work out as well: I’m definitely not as funny when I’m painting my minis since I’m not purposefully making mistakes or going for wild designs.
DD Builds’ Let’s Build Series: A slightly different take on the eternal Let’s Play formula which focuses more on creativity to create the comedy and jokes. Sometimes it’s partially scripted, sometimes it’s completely blind, but the point is to enter a game (or other program or activity) and show the possibilities that can be done with creative elements while entertaining the viewer. Games done focus on simulation and sandbox construction games like Planet Coaster, Minecraft, Planet Zoo, Jurassic World Evolution, and much more! Programs and IRL stuff include minipainting, modelmaking, sculpting, Hero Forge, Scribblio, and more! Anything that has an in-depth constructive system will work!
