Tackling darker themes not typically seen in a superhero cartoon series. It also reimagined classic characters like Mr Freeze and introduced new key players such as Harley Quinn and Renee Montoya for the first time. It is without a doubt, the single most influential piece of Batman media, shaping the mythos of the character for years to come.
