Batman: The Animated Series, was an award winning cartoon that first aired in 1992. Starring Kevin Conroy as Batman / Bruce Wayne and Mark Hamill as The Joker. Tackling darker themes not typically seen in a superhero cartoon series. It also reimagined classic characters like Mr Freeze and introduced new key players such as Harley Quinn and Renee Montoya for the first time. It is without a doubt, the single most influential piece of Batman media, shaping the mythos of the character for years to come.
