I don’t know about you, but I still can’t get over the colossal failure that was Marvel vs Capcom Infinite. That game should have been an easy grand slam, but we all know how that went. Since its release, both Marvel, Capcom AND the fighting game genre as a whole has done nothing but thrive. With that in mind, there is NO reason why a new Marvel vs Capcom title couldn’t be one of the biggest games in the world… as long as the execution was on point.

Naturally, ideas started bouncing around in my head. What would the Perfect Marvel vs Capcom 4 look like, if it was released in 2022?

And so, this is my Christmas gift to you: A 3 part video series digging DEEP into the video game industry as a whole, the recent, hot runs for both Capcom and Marvel, and how it can all come together to create an amazing, theoretical Marvel vs Capcom 4.

Here in Part 1, we build the foundation of the game. We’ll look at the changes Marvel and Capcom have experienced since MvC Infinite’s release, plus the state of the gaming industry overall, and how they would affect Marvel vs Capcom 4. What is the visual style Capcom should go with for a Marvel 4? What would the gameplay look like? And how about a story mode… that’s actually available at launch, and isn’t treated like a total afterthought? All that and more in today’s video!
