Bulletstorm: Full Clip Edition is a refreshed version of the shooter by People Can Fly, which was originally released in 2011 on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC. The developer of the new edition is the same Polish team. In 2015, it cut itself off from its current owner, Epic Games, retaining the rights to the brand. The remaster boasts, above all, nicer graphics, as the gameplay has remained basically untouched.
Bulletstorm: Full Clip Edition is set in the 26th century. One of the greatest powers in the galaxy is the Confederation of Planets, led by the charismatic General Sarrano. Enforcement of his will guarantees the operation of the elite unit of Dead Echo. The player assumes the role of Grayson Hunt - formerly a member of the aforementioned group, and now a pirate and public enemy number one. The game takes place on the planet Stygia, which used to be a luxurious entertainment center. The administrators left its surface many years ago, giving it to mutated plants, while the surviving people divided into wild bands. This is where the final showdown between Hunt and the ruthless general is to take place.
Bulletstorm: Full Clip Edition is a fast-paced first-person shooter enhanced with a simple yet effective hand-to-hand combat system. Grayson can push enemies away with his soldier's boot and chop them with long slides. An important addition is the energy leash - thanks to it you can catch the opponent and send him into the air. In addition, we also get a fancy arsenal of rifles, shotguns, launchers, etc. There is, for example, a cannon that shoots exploding balls that can be bounced off the walls.
During the game, we receive points for effective finishing off enemies, i.e. performing so-called "skillshots". For example, usually killing an enemy will give you a +10 bonus, but taking someone down with a headshot will give you +25. If we add creative use of leashes or elements of the environment (e.g. cacti), the final result will be even better. Earned points are spent on upgrading weapons. Thanks to this, our rifle, for example, will be able to fire a hundred rounds at once, which will tear all the flesh from the bones of most enemies, leaving only a steaming skeleton. The Enhanced Leash, on the other hand, can hit the ground with enough force to lift several enemies up, allowing you to take them down one by one as they glide through the air in slow motion.
Selected fragments of the single-player story campaign can be repeated in the additional Echo mode, in which we fight against time and try to score as many points as possible. Team matches are an important addition to solo gameplay. In the game variant called Anarchy, a group of players cooperatively fights successive waves of enemies. However, it's not about survival, but rather about exterminating opponents in a particularly spectacular way (so scoring as many points as possible with "supershots").
