The Burning Man Organization is hurting. They are asking you to donate. This video is not arguing that covid has not thrown a wrench into the gear of the Burn Machine, but is simply a revisiting of the Core Principles (in regards to current events).
The Burning Man Organization has been asking the United States of America government for millions of dollars to survive. People who paid attention to the Free Burn understand how an event is put on without the need of millions of dollars.
While I do suggest that leadership has gone away from the principles, this is merely so that they notice the opportunity they have to actually enact change. If you host your own private event, and then say that the main event is going to go bankrupt, then you have started losing my trust. If you simply want more money for the same thing, then you are continuing to lose my trust. If you actually band together and form a plan to enact change, then you would go quite far in rebuilding that trust with the community.
