Hey everyone!!!! Josh here from Team KAIZEN. Here's the latest on our upcoming Vita title, Burst!:

**Please keep in mind this build is late Alpha/early Beta and is missing many effects, also the audio got slightly mis-aligned to the video in the video editor and the tail end of the video had a weird glitch, neither of which happened in-game while I was actually recording haha!**

Anyways:
You hit the face buttons/d-pad buttons (Triangle, Circle, X, Up, Left and Down) when they turn green to detonate the fireworks mid-air. You'll notice some of those buttons are stretched, it's because we're trying to add support for hold-notes like DDR where you actually hold a note for a certain amount of time.

The triggers swap between different periodic table elements to change the explosion colors. These elements actually give their corresponding colors to real life fireworks with the exception of Ra (Radium, which actually would be neon green but is too dangerous in real life to use) and Wc (Wild Card, which swaps between all the elements).

If the player gets 15 correct hits in a row, they're awarded with a PyroCoin in the lower left. They cash it in by either hitting right on the d-pad or square, and it causes the screen to rotate for a few seconds while all upcoming fireworks are automatically detonated. Great to use to boost a score or save yourself if you're near-failing.

We have a lot we need to do on Burst! to get it ready for launch. We hope to have more environments (plus an actual city environment, this one is just place holder except for the bridge) and we're also hoping to have a star studio (the individual fireballs in fireworks are called stars) where players can design their own explosion shapes.

Let us know what you think!!!

Also, if you like the song, it's Saihara No Miyako by Quaff, and it's available on the American iTunes :-).
