Welcome to Episode 1 of Just One Guy's Opinion, my new show where I discuss and review different games, both old and new. Today's game is Buzz Lightyear of Star Command for the Playstation 1.
I originally created this show with the intent of doing something different to Let's Plays. Whilst I enjoy the Let's Plays, and may continue them, spending time putting in hours and hours of hard work into creating this video made doing YouTube more fun for me.
This is something I plan to continue. I already have plenty of games in mind for future episodes, though they will be shorter. This episode is an introduction to the show, and also I got a bit carried away with doing the live comedy sketches which certainly isn't a bad thing! Buzz Lightyear of Star Command just had that aura that made me wanna create!
This video wasn't really structured properly and was a bit of a mish-mash, but I will plan to have sections of discussion throughout the future episodes. Such as a few minutes worth of "Story" discussion, then some Gameplay discussion... just for example.
The comedy sketches were certainly my favourite part of creating this video, but also the most time consuming. Though, I feel it was all worth it in the end! 45+ hours certainly haven't gone to waste!
A little note as well mates, I realise the visual quality of this video isn't great. My editing software likes to crash quite often, leaving me having to split the review into multiple parts, render them all separately and then render them together multiple times. This makes the video drop in quality. It is something I will definitely work on in future to try and improve!
Also, I am recording the live sketch comedy sections with a Canon 1100D SLR camera rather than a camcorder. It isn't the best camera, and doesn't really optimize video recording. Though, with my next pay from work, I am planning to buy an actual high quality Camcorder which I will use in future episodes. It may not be in the next episode, or even the one after that, but the visual quality will hopefully improve soon! Thank you for being patient mates.
I already know what Episode 2's game will be, and I'm looking forward to playing it again whilst also planning a few comedy sketches for it! I won't jam pack it full of them though like I did with this one.
