BZCC Total Command Mod Gameplay - Mission RB04: Io's Bridge
The strategic placement of the CCA's 6th Battalion allowed the Soviets to locate more Fury Relics, that weren't discovered by the Americans. This could mean a slight edge against the NSDF in their war. Now that they have secured these new prizes, they must move them off Io by means on a Launch Pad deployed nearby. However, the area is surrounded by a huge lava field and the NSDF have an Outpost in the way. It is up to Commander Doyestevski to clear the path for the Tractor Tugs carrying the Relics and prevent the NSDF from seizing them. It doesn't sound too challenging, except that the Tractor Tugs are already on their way and will be entering the area in seven minutes. Therefore, Commander Doyestevski must set up a base quickly, and amass a sufficiently large force to break the American blockade.
Because of the building requirements in this game, there are more things available at the mission start, compared to the version in the original game. However, the NSDF will send more attack squads, have more defensive units deployed (both Badgers and Longbows), and the last line of defense is supported by Bobcats and Wolverines, which are devastating against light units. I would say that this mission was much harder than the original version. I even got one of the Fury Relics seized, but I guess that's my fault, because I could have used the Thumper to get rid of those Badger Turrets. I played this mission later with a different strategy, and I got a cleaner win. I still needed to try it a bunch of times, though.
Will the CCA manage to smuggle the Relics through, or the NSDF will stop cold the Soviet Convoy?
